After retiring as a player, Bochy became first a minor league coach and later major league manager. He managed the Padres for 12 seasons (1995—2006), the San Francisco Giants for 13 seasons (2007—2019), and the Texas Rangers for 3 seasons (2023—2025). As manager, Bochy led the Padres to one World Series appearance (1998), the Giants to three World Series championships (2010, 2012, 2014), and the Rangers to the franchise's first World Series championship in his first season with the club (2023).
